Sliver space tolerance, what is it?

When calculating thermal loads must configure either the distance parameter “sliver space”, so that the calculation engine Revit as we interpret the model created. Revit will distinguish two types of walls, interiors and exteriors, the only way I used to distinguish from each other is:

  • If a wall having spaces defined on both sides, is an inner wall.
  • If a wall is a space defined only one side is an exterior wall.

By modeling a building we can find small areas that do not need to define them as spaces (eg amount of facilities), but nevertheless, if we do can cause Revit interpreted as exterior walls, walls that are not. The parameter “sliver space” is to avoid this error.

A brief video explaining.
